A Risbin Games Project

Fire Team

A tactical military tabletop RPG where 2 to 6 players control individual soldiers in a small fire team. Positioning, coordination, and good decisions matter more than high stats; combat is lethal by design.

Fire Team

How it plays

A setting-agnostic rules engine built around small teams and ranged combat, driven by d20 checks and a simple three-action turn.

Tactics over stats

Using terrain, holding good positions, and coordinating actions across the squad are worth more than any number on your sheet. The system rewards thinking like a soldier, not mastering a rulebook.

Lethal by design

No hit point pools. Wounds land on specific body locations with stacking effects, and a few well-placed hits can put a soldier down for good. When a character dies, their progression dies with them.

Any era, one engine

The core rules are setting-agnostic. Campaign books define the era, factions, and equipment, so the same engine runs historical operations, modern combat, or sci-fi scenarios.
